Chatham Fish Pier

Today I wanted to show a few more pictures of the water from the Chatham Fish Pier and also talk about what you can see if you choose to check it out for yourself. You can take in the great views from the deck on the top of where the boats come in and unload their catch. I was impressed on just how clean and well taken care of the whole area is. While you are there, check out the fish market and see what they have on sale and check out all the fresh fish. Also, I am sure when you are coming or going to this area, you will notice all the beautiful homes with the awesome view of the ocean. It can give you a lasting memory you will keep for a long time to come. I hope everyone will enjoy their stay while they are here and get to see as much as you can and have a good time . I have set up a link on the title at the top of the page (Chatham Fish Pier) This will show you a lot more about the area and you can learn about the Chatham Bars Inn and lots more pictures. I hope this post will help you when you read it.

Monomoy Island

Thought I would talk a little about the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge located in Chatham for anyone who may want to check it out while visiting. It stretches about 8 miles off the elbow of Cape Cod. It was established in the year 1944. It provides an important resting, nesting and feeding habitat for migratory birds, including the roseate tern and the piping plover which are federally protected. It is considered a sanctuary that supports a diversity of wildlife and plant species along with the seals. It is really a site to see and you can only get there by boat or use the ferry Rip Ryder from Morris Island or the ferry from Chatham fish pier. The seal cruises start in mid June. There is also an early shuttle service for fisherman and bird watchers. You can click on the TITLE at the top of this page Monomoy Island and you can get a lot more information. I hope you will enjoy seeing this wonderful special place while you are here.
At low tide you can walk a long way and get a
better look for bird watching and pictures but
watch out for the tide when it comes back in.
Photo of Seals Thanks to Cape Cod Photo's

Trip To Chatham

Today was a great day for a drive, so we decided to go to Chatham and see the sites and take a few pictures. We just had to take some of the Chatham Light and the beach since we were there. It was really close to lunch time so we went up and down main street checking out some of the shops before we had lunch, It is really a neat little town with lot's of shops that have really neat stuff. I always like browsing when I come here.We went to lunch at a place called The Chatham Squire. It's a really good restaurant and the prices are fair. You can check out the menu if you go to the title at the top of the page -->Trip To Chatham and just click on it . When we finished lunch, we went to the fish pier and took more pictures of the boats in the water. I will use them when I do more posts on Chatham probably within the next few weeks. Our day turned out really nice and when we got home, I started to post the pictures on on my blog and I forgot I wanted to change my template and I decided to just do it . I did remember to copy all the code from the original one which is a must if you want to change templates and not have any big problems. After several hours, I finally finished and everything works, it was really time consuming and I had to double check everything. But I feel it was worth it because I really like the change. If I can do it anyone can. Hope you can enjoy this great weather and have a good day.

WELCOME

We went to the city this morning to take care of some business and have lunch with friends. It is a 90 minute drive one way from where we live in West Yarmouth. The drive was really cloudy and dismal up and back. I am glad I brought the camera though, because I have been wanting to take a Picture of the Cape Cod license plate and welcome sign you see. It is located about a mile before you get to the Sagamore bridge going south on Rt.3 I thought it would show the beginning and the end is of course Race point in Provincetown. If you wanted to go all the way from the sign to Race Point, it would take about 90 minutes to get there with a lot of beautiful sites along the way. If you get hungry, check out the Lobster Claw in the Town of Orleans of Rt. 6A. There is plenty of restaurants but the Lobster Claw happens to be one of our favorites in that area. Go to the top of the page and click on the title --> WELCOME and you will get all the information you may need on the menu. Whatever you choose to do we hope you have a great time taking in a lot of sites.
